About The Scottish Community Care Forum Network
Community Care Forums (CCFs) are collaborations of people who are disabled or disadvantaged by age, frailty or illness, their carers, and voluntary and community groups. They work together to improve services and living conditions in their areas.
The Scottish Community Care Forum Network(SCCF) was set up in 1992 by local CCFs coming together to strengthen their individual and collective efforts through sharing experience and acting together. This approach has enabled the Network as a whole to influence statutory health and care services and pioneer its own services to achieve greater independence and quality of life for disabled and disadvantaged people.
The SCCF Network is currently run by a management committee, mainly of local CCF members. They provide a programme of networking opportunities and promote the work of local forums.
